First I would like to mention some positive points: the movers are really on time and the truck is quite big (much bigger than I expected). Also one of the movers is really enthusiastic. We live on the second floor of an old house so it is quite challenging to move and we really appreciate their effort to get the job done. Nevertheless there are some points for improvement: there is an expectation that the movers will help us disassemble and assemble the furniture, but they did not bring any tools, so I had to lend them mine. We could not move the big futon so I just left it at my old place (to be fair we were in a bit of rush as well but they kept asking me for tools and suggested I went to home depot to get some.) They did not use PPE, although I think it was quite an intensive job so it was hard to do with a mask on, but maybe they should have at least worn gloves.
There is also one important point to note: they do add travel time in the service, so in our case it actually adds one hour and a half to the moving time, and you know how much they charge per hour…
Overall they did get the job done so we really appreciate it, but we just expect a bit more from professional movers.
[Updated] We sent our feedback to the company and they sent Cedric and Mike to bring the futon to our new place for free. They are very quick and professional. I guess we just got unlucky last time. Overall the company do care about customers’ feedbacks and we really appreciate it.
